That kinda of day

It was that kind of day where everything just seems to go wrong. I thought it was going to be a good day since I got to sleep in late today. It was actually very relaxing, waking up, and thinking I actually had time for a decent shower and not have to rush.

Interesting points of the day would be:
-Eric's cousin actually looks as pretty as she does in pictures
-Never have I seen such an incapable guy, both in terms of technology, and humour
-Dogs can hump their stuffed "girlfriend" for the longest time ever
-Baby rats actually looks kute, especially when they are being cuddled by their dads

So that concludes my day for now.
Right now, I am watching Bridget Jones Diary. I still don't see why it's such a big deal. As a matter of fact, it was pretty boring to me, this is the second day of my attempt to finish the movie.

And for those of you that know me, it's not because I'm not very girly, not at all, although I would've liked playing Modern Warfare more than watching this movie... I just didn't think it was very good, particularly after I watched On The Other End of the Line. This chickflick in my opinion is so overrated. People out there, please explain to me why this movie is such a classic chickflick please.

On a side note, I was disappointed I didn't get to see the Harry Potter Exhibition at the Science Center. This calls for a sad emoticon: =( Especially since I found out it was not crowded like I thought it would be. What a bummer.

Web Design

As I mentioned before, I am going to post a lot of what-I-did-in-school posts, please bare with me until I actually get a life back. Good news is, I am going to Hong Kong for a month during the summer, so I'm sure there will be more interesting posts. Until then, here is another project I did, this time for Web-Design class. It wasn't a long project, and it was due in the midst of crazy-ness so I have to admit, I didn't do as much with it as I had planned before.

Please feel free to visit it:

Photoshoot from a While Back

Since I'm doing this post thing, I've decided to share a photoshoot that I did from a while back...
LONG while back. The model Leanne was amazing! I don't think I would've done it without her if she wasn't so quirky and cute. Anyways, there was lots to choose from, which usually isn't the case. I was actually  disappointed that we only needed three spreads, but here are the final spreads:
(yes, they did come in bigger sizes, but it would take too long to load here
you can click on them to see them a slight bigger though)

Blue Q Product Design

Here is another segment continuation from the series "Work I Do" haha? Yes, I just decided to name it, since I suspect a lot of upcoming posts on this topic. (Since as I mentioned before, school is life at this point)

So this one particular project is based on a company called Blue Q. They are known for their quirk designs, but have been criticized before for their over-packaged products. Especially during a time where the green-movement is a hit, or perhaps a fad (we have to wait a while longer to see for this one) consumers are often than not concerned with the packaging. The point here being, if it's nicely packaged enough, maybe consumers will think twice before throwing something out. The main product here is the totebag; its purpose being to promote one of the 3Rs we learned in grade school: REUSE. The key here is to not seem like a hippie and be all in your face about it.

This campaign is called "No Evil." Evil being the plastics, trash, or whatnot for the totebag.
Use No Evil: The totebag.

This is the sunglasses. See No Evil: Rose-coloured Sunglasses, the evil here being the world.

Hear No Evil: Noise Canceling Headphones.

Smell No Evil, Taste No Evil: Mint, Strawberry and Creme-sicle Flavored Toothpaste.

Book Cover

So here are one of the things I've done for Typography class
It's a book design for a book called Alone in the Kitchen with an Eggplant. Basically, it's a compilation of short stories on the joys or "adventures" on eating alone. Sounded depressing to begin with, and my sister said some stories actually made her sick, but I found it quite charming. (Maybe because I related a lot to some of the stories) Anyways, back to this project. The process work almost killed me, it started off with an overkill of purple (because of the eggplant) but it turned out better than I thought I would. As you may notice, I'm in my "sketchy" phase lately, and that translates into my work. Good or bad, you be the judge! Comments are welcomed! (Always)

This is the reinvented cover.

Time to Start Blogging Again

Finally after what seemed like weeks of torture, I have some time to breathe. Actually breathe. No, I am not kidding, it was project after projects which basically drove me insane. Thank goodness I actually like what I'm doing or else I don't think I'd ever survive this. Didn't get much sleep lately because even when I did have time to sleep, I would wake up after a maximum of FIVE hours.
I think it was because of this lack of sleep, that cause me to not think right, and congest soda and tums at the same time. NOT SMART. For those of you that don't know why, it's like that little experiment you do as a little kid in grade school. Add baking soda to vinegar and you get? Or if you're a youtube-junkie, I'm sure you've seen the multiple videos and exploding Mentos and Coke "rockets." I'm surprised I got through that last night. I've been known to have an iron stomach, so I guess that's what saved me. Thank goodness. This is where I say LOL, but I still remember the pain so I guess I won't.

So tonight I was being my insomnia-tic self again and I decided to watch this movie called "The Other End of the Line." I'm bad with names, but I do know that that main actor is the guy from "John Tucker Must Die,"  and what I have got to say about this, is that this movie is awesome. It totally touched me somehow.  The basic synopsis is that this guy, falls in love with this girl from India. How they met is interesting. The main female lead is actually from a call center in India, and everyone from that call center pretends they are from some part of America. It was through a case of identity theft, that this girl on behalf of the bank, and to contact the John Tucker guy. Through conversations after conversations, they realize they are starting to fall in love with each other. And like all chick flicks of course, they are both involved with someone else. The guy with a super hot girlfriend, while the female engaged by an arranged marriage. This movie is a must see! The social references that is taught to the people in India is hilarious! Not to ruin this movie for those who are actually going to watch it, but a part I remember most clearly is when the teacher asks the Indian students which fast food chain make the "square burgers." Haha if you don't know the answer to that, go treat yourself to Wendy's :)

Bean's Arrival

So lately it's been a bit hectic. I admit, it always is sorta hectic, but it is more so now than before. Lots has happened but I guess instead of writing a ten page essay on here, instead of doing my History of Costume one on the 19th century Russian dress, I'll just talk about the one thing that's huge! (or shall I say the one thing that's tiny?)

Me and my love one decided to adopt a bunny! It was a surprise from my baby. We have been browsing the PJ pet-store for a while now, since we decided it carries the best small animals; and we, or mostly I decided I wanted a new bunny since the one had before died. Everytime we went, we were not drawn to any rabbit in particular so we decided to wait until one calls out to us. In my mind, I wanted to dwarf bunny, and most specifically a lopped ear one. We went time after time and nothing drew us to adopt one. Finally, baby went to to PJ's and there were a new litter of baby lopped ear bunnies there. At that time, I wasn't even aware that he was at the petstore. He was planning to surprise me, and just buy it to surprise me. Knowing the picky person I am however, he decided to call me to confirm that I still wanted a cute fuzzy little lopped ear bunny. By the time I hung up, I was almost jumping around the house in joy.

Here is a photo of Bean (that's what we named him) here below in baby's kitchen eating an orange. Strange enough, it is not a fan of carrots or other vegetables, but oranges, he's a huge fan of!
