The Day I Gave a Child a Pair of New Shoes

I bet I fooled you into thinking I was just that generous didn't I?! Well, I have to be honest, this is a blog about getting those darn TOMS... darn them..

I got them. Not what I intended to get, but I got them.

Thanks bee!
My hunnie spoils me rotten! xoxo

*** Just as a side note, I do realize the white border on the picture now looks really redundant... I realized this after I already made the image and uploaded it.. too lazy to fix, so I shall leave it at that :)

TOMS?!

Is it just me, or are TOMS looks better by the minute?!
I used to think they were the ugliest pairs of shoes on the planet, but like Crocs, they came up with more stylish... styles? And I am now seriously considering them. I mean, it is going a little bit over board I think when they show people wearing them to their wedding, but I can see myself rockin a pair on a casual day.

Which pair should I get?!

Mail!

We live in a world where people no longer write letters by hand, and even the phrase for sending mail has a negative connotation: snail mail. You even have to lengthen the amount of time it takes to say the word snail. Snnnaailllll mail.

Because of this, it is always a treat and almost an adrenaline rush to hear the sound of your doorbell and find the mailman/woman on the other side of your door. Even though the package I received today was an expected one, this did not dampen my excitement.

Here it is in all its glory:

It even had a sweet note from my boss attached to it! I think its always simple things that you don't expect (like this bright coloured note) that seems to make my day. And being an intern that I am, this is actually really unbelievable! :)

Having seen the product photos multiple times, I expected a plain black box, but it came nicely wrapped in pretty pink tissue paper. The cherry on top was absolutely the pink ribbon and the overall presentation of it all! This is saying a lot since those of you that know me, know that I am a sucker for packaging and have been known to buy products based on the packaging alone. (Yes I know, tsk tsk)

For those of you have that have been wondering, or wasn't aware of this, but this company's name is pronounced as silk. Why this name you say? If you actually asked this I'd have to LOL at you. Their website just recently came online and you can check it out yourself at http://www.cilque.com. All their items are 100 percent silk, from their different coloured pillowcases to their bed sets. The intriguing thing to me about their company besides its benefits to beauty, is the products named after desserts like how brown is not just brown, but Belgium Chocolate, and white is not just white, it's Creme Brulee! Sweet!

Here are more pictures about

So this was me sharing this little piece of joy with you for today.

It's just too much...

Haven't been very good about updating my blog. Just too much happens all at the same time, and it just passes me by. First day of work tomorrow and all I can think about is which camera to get...

I am deciding to either get a Holga or a Diana F+.

  • buy the kit with flash, or not flash (or delux!)
  • mini or not
  • what kind of film (120 or 35mm)
  • special edition or classic black

Holga is cheaper on all levels, and was what made me look into the whole toy camera thing to begin with. It's known for quality, been on the market longer.

Diana+ on the other hand looks cuter (the Snowcat for example made me want to get one that is way overpriced cuz LIMITED EDITION! See below.) and plus for some reason I can't put my finger on, just attracts me more and looks more stylish in my opinion. However, the accessories that I think are must haves, are way  more expensive than that or the Holga.

The Diana Snowcat in all its beauty-ness.

Other things I have to consider is of course, which film I should use. 120 or 35mm. 120 film I would actually have to go to an actual film developing place, whereas 35mm I can just be a cheapass and go to Costco and make my mom print them.. However, that is why I'm planning on getting a 120, since there are 35mm film adapters, where as, u cant really go the other way around.

I am so confused! Cameras trumps purses and shoes at the moment. School has made me become repelled by fashion. Save me.

The Angels Have Landed

The Angels have landed at Eaton Centre today for the opening of the new Victoria's Secret, and it was a BIG DEAL! Why? Well not that I experienced it for myself, but apparently they actually had helicopters land on the roof of Eaton Centre. Too bad I missed it. But it was such a big deal, that this happened:

There were actually a crowd watching the crowd LOL But since the tote bag is supposed to be limited edition I had to get it haha too bad I'm not really into the plastic material though. Here are pictures of it, the bow is actually pretty cute though...

In the tote bag, it actually came with free samples of things, a lipgloss, a thong (again, just like in the tote bag that we got when lining up to go into the store), body spray (which iw as about to buy) and this body lotion that I didn't really even like the scent of...

More beauty stuff I got. I rather not go into the lingerie stuff I got, but these are the items I got that are not underwear stuff:

Also, apparently if you qualified to get the tote bag, you also qualified to take a picture with one of the two "angels" that landed. Too bad you have to wait in line again. I was in my heels today that were killing me and giving me blisters, as well, I didn't have the patience to wait until 5 o'clock so I gave up on that. Oh well, too bad. Maybe I can be an angel one day... haha, yea right.
